bfopen function within Bio-Formats

I try to use the bfopen function to open my .nd2 files but it tells me bfopen is "undefined". I tried searching for it within the Matlab search but it tells me this function doesn't exist. Is it possible Bio-Formats doesn't work for the 2019a version and if so is there a version this file that it does work on?

I have the same question. I am using an old code that was written in 2016. There are many errors when running it, including the Unrecognized function or variable of "bfopen" and "xlwrite". Are these function not available in R2019a and b any more?
