Filter function doesn't work in script

I am using the following line in the command window and it works. However when I try to run the same line in a matlab script, I get a description of my filter in the command line and the new variable is not created.

Butterworth_Output = filter(Butter_LP,Amplified_Noisy);

Can you provide the script and the output you are observing, to get more insights of the issue?

Just saw my problem. Script had the same name as the filter. Changed the filter name and it worked.
