A language input bug. Switching stops working.

I use multiple input languages in Windows 7 x64. Generally, those are Japanese(both Japanese and English in the same IM) and Russian.
It happens often, that Matlab can not return input from Russian to Japanese/English. The only possible way to input latin letters after that is restarting Matlab.
I did not figure when exactly this happens. But I do a lot of simulations with external binary solver. Maybe the input sticks to Russian when that solver is terminated and Matlab returns to command mode... maybe, maybe it happens during Alt-tabbing.
Did anyone stumble at the same problem? Is there a workaround?
