I am working to create a Microgrid including a PV Array, Battery, Inverter and Load. In this circuit, I tried to supply the load with the PV array, without the battery connected. The PV array is operating under Standard conditions (1000 W/m² and 25°C) and should give 250 W at a Voltage of 34.37V. The load is set to consume 200W. In my simulation the voltage of the PV array is dropping to about 1 V. The PV array is connected to a boost converter controlled by a P&O MPPT Algorithm. The duty cycle is dropping to 0 based on the MPPT algorithm. I am looking for the reason of the enormous voltage drop of the PV array and I am grateful for your contribution.

Hello Leo,
if you remove your inverter and connect the boost converter directly to an appropriately sized resistor, the system will work more like you expect. It seems like your inverter circuit is pulling the voltage down. I suggest getting the MPPT portion working on a resistor, and getting the inverter working with a constant DC voltage source, and then combine them. You might need to let the dc/dc side charge up a bit before you start the inverter as well.
Regards,
Joel
