mscohere function (equations used for it)

Hey,

Can someone please provide the stepwise equations befind the mscohere function? I want to write my own function which can replace the mscohere

I have tried to implement my own function but I didnt succeed. Hope someone can help

You can view the code by typing into the command window

open mscohere
% then subsequently
open welch

and follow along. You can step through it line by line by setting a breakpoint and hitting "Step" and "Step In" where appropriate.

Though I'm not sure why you want to write your own function when this function has been professionally written.

Alternatively, you can look up the coherence function in the Fieldtrip toolbox ft_connectivityanalysis and follow the case where cfg.method = 'coh'.
