local matlab control remote matlab

I have matlab on both local windows computer and a linux server. Is there any way I can use my local matlab to run the matlab on server? Pop-up the figure and so on. Or just from any UI locally? I saw they can do this on iphone (matlab mobile).

I have X-ming foreword to windows before. But it is hard to select something on figure.
