Multiple Colormaps in one figure.

I am trying to use multiple colormaps in one figure using subplot. but matlab only shows one colormap for all subplots. This is my code.
m=8
n=9
%%
k=0;
for i=1:m
for j=1:n
a(j,i)=k;
k=k+1
end
end
a
colormap parula
subplot(4,5,1); image(a); title("parula")
colormap jet
subplot(4,5,2); image(a); title("jet")
colormap hot
