I've recently up-dated to MATLAB R2019a, and I'm getting totally frustrated with an problem.
I work on numerous projects and like to keep each in a separate directory. I cd to the associated directory when I want to work on a given project.
However, every time I get an error - the command window resets to a default directory (~/Desktop). This is hugely frustrating when de-bugging code!
How do I stop it doing this??
In addition.... I also get lots of warning "Warning: Error updating ButtonImage. Not enough input arguments." whenever my mouse goes over a figure window.
Really wishing I hadn't up-graded.

My 2019a version worked fine. I updated to 2020a and this had hte same problem. I switched back to 2019a and now this older version does that too.

"Really wishing I hadn't up-graded."
That's what I also often think... I don't think it's really the same, but I often see the same type of "errors messages which appear to be neglectable, but very confusing warnings without clear reason". I get in similar circumstances: "Double inputs must have integer values in the range of ASSUMEDTYPE.".
