I am a final year engg student and we want to make a fake currency detector using ordinary mobile so that every common man should have the device ....please suggest some references for this..
The project should be based on Image Processing and MATLAB

This cannot be done very well with plain optical wavelengths. The security features are often designed to show up with ultra-violet.
