XLSREAD and XLSWRITE error

I launch a matlab-compiled application through windows hpc scheduler which eventually performs some xlsread and xlswrite functions in the remote computing node. The node is loaded with MS Excel 2007. But the xlsread and xlswrite do not work because it could not load the Exel COM Server. Do you know how to workaround this?

This however works when i remotely connect to the node and and lauch the application manually through a batch file.
