Is there any way to open a .mrxs image file and convert it to other format and save it in MATLAB?

Is there any way to open .mrxs image file and convert it to another format for example .jpg and save it in MATLAB?

Hmmm, Bio-Formats found those too difficult to implement in a timely manner. They worked on it over a period of 5+ years but gave up.

I do see that there is software .exe available (not from manufacturer) that can convert, provided you happen to be using Windows; http://jvsmicroscope.uta.fi/?q=jp2wsiconverter
