Use CALFEM toolbox to analyse the bar and beam truss as shown in the attached figure. The beam elements forming the roof are of equal length and the nodes forming the inner truss are located equidistance from the centre of the arch. The structure is subjected to an inward load of 3 kN/m red and an outward load of 1.5 kN/m green. The supports at each edge have no translational movement. You may assume a modulus of 200 GPa and a wall thickness of 4 mm for all sections. The beams are formed from hollow square box sections 100 mm in depth and the bars from hollow circular sections 15 mm in radius.
Exploit symmetry in order to minimise the amount of code you write and use the principle of superposition to your advantage.
