Update Simulink Model from arxml template error

I am trying to update a Simulink model from an arxml template. The model logic was populated froma previous release of the template.

I have read about

updateModel

but it is throwing an error and is not completing the update of the model even though it does create the backup model the copy.

the Model I want to update is open, workspace variables are in the workspace, updated the model and insured it builds prior and the arxml temlplate is in the Matlab search path (same folder).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

It just started working after the update, but its not relaiable or consistent, you'll have to check all the subsystems manually
