backprojection algorithm in Matlab

Hi, I'm looking to reconstruct a CT image using the backprojection algorithm. I'm a bit stuck at the implementation. The algorithm is difficult to explain over text, so I've attached a pdf showing the algorithm with an example using pictures. Any tips would be much appreciated!

could you explain why subtract 10 and divide 3 ? why is -10 and 3 instead of others?
