How to interface USB port using MATLAB??

How are you all my Matlab friends :) here you are another problem in matlab : I wanna learn how to communicate with usb PORT?

s=serial('COM1') fopen(s)

I know that above source facilitates usb port open, but I get the error 'Error using ==> serial.fopen at 1' why not? Do I change my windows setting?

Please help as strong as you did before .. thank you

The serial port might not be named COM1 . See http://www.mathworks.com/help/techdoc/ref/instrfindall.html

Note: USB devices must be connected and turned on before MATLAB is started in order for the devices to be found.
