Why does the antenna designer app take so long to generate 3d pattern?

I am using the antenna designer app to generate a 2.4GHz patch antenna. however the app freezes after trying to generate 3d pattern. Is this because i have set it up wrong or does it just take a long time to run? It has currently been running for a about an hour now and has filled the 16GB of ram that my PC has.
