how do i plot the histogram of the eye diagram

I have plotted the eye diagram of a jittery signal in Matlab, now i want to plot the histogram of the eye diagram. How should i do it with out using the tool boxes?

may be i was not clear.....i am trying to plot a histogram for an eye diagram, how do i do it by using the matlab?...i am using R2006b version of matlab and the "eyediagram" inbuilt function of matlab is not available in this version.

I am confused ? The documentation for one of the eyediagram functions, http://www.mathworks.com/help/toolbox/comm/ref/commscope.eyediagram.html describes the output in ways that seem to me to imply that eye diagrams _are_ histogram diagrams (of a sort), so if you have plotted the eye diagram you would already have done the histogramming, and plotting a histogram of a histogram does not seem to make sense ??
