Hello,
I want to run matlab .m file in linux, because it may be faster than in Windows.
However it shows an erros:
Undefined function or method 'sortrows' for input arguments of type 'double'.
As you may know, sortrows is a command in Matlab, and I think the problem is I did not set the path, right?
If so how to set and add path? Thanks.

This sounds like you have multiple SORTROWS on yout path. What does
which sortrows -all
return?

My own result is
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2012a\toolbox\matlab\datafun\sortrows.m
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2012a\toolbox\shared\statslib\@ordinal\sortrows.m % ordinal method
C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2012a\toolbox\shared\statslib\@dataset\sortrows.m % dataset method
Depending if you have the Statistics Toolbox or not you should see the first line only or al three. If you have more, you likely have the cause of your error.

Hi, Andreas,
It returns,
/opt/MatlabR2010a/toolbox/matlab/datafun/sortrows.m
/opt/MatlabR2010a/toolbox/shared/statslib/@dataset/sortrows.m % dataset method
/opt/MatlabR2010a/toolbox/shared/statslib/@ordinal/sortrows.m % ordinal method

If you go into MATLAB, and without having done anything else, command
sortrows(pi)
then does it still give the error message?

Hi, Walter, no it returns:
ans =
3.1416

Then your problem is not with multiple sortrows() . Your problem sounds more like whatever code you are running is defining a new MATLAB path and that path does not include some of the Mathworks-provided routines.

Oh, then I think I was right. I am using a different path under my path, not the matlab designate path. Do you know how shall I add my current folder in Linux? Sorry google gives me a lot of solutions but cannot work out here...

addpath(cd)
