As I was trying to run the inbuilt model ev3_communication to check the interface between MATLAB Simulink and Lego EV3, it shows an error message "An error occurred attempting to open an rtIOStream".
Parameters Setup: connection type: bluetooth with correct device id, mode: external
However, if I run in internal mode, it runs without any error.
Is there anyway of solving this problem?

Same error here..any ideas?

If you are still encountering the problems then just try to remove the space in the name of the folders that you have installed the MATLAB. This was the way that I fixed this problem.

i have same problem..................i done that solution which specified above but i can not resolve my problem pls help me
