Matlab GUI, Click on the plot and have a textbox with information pop up

I have been working some time with MATLAB now, however I am relatively new to the MATLAB GUIs.

In this case I have to create a GUI where I envision that it would work with the following way: Think of a plot with certain points on the plot highlighted. These points, when clicked, they would expand into textboxes giving some specific information. This way, space would be conserved such that I can have many points that are 'expandable' into textboxes once clicked and would subsequently collapse back into points when re-clicked.

Would such a thing be feasible in MATLAB GUI?
