How to stop the matrix viewer from re-centering with slider bar adjustment?

I have a simulink model that uses a slider bar to adjust parameters. I am running in external mode, but I don't imagine that matters.

When a parameter is adjusted via the slider bar (which modifies a parameter going into an s function builder block), the matrix viewer window re centers to my primary desktop, covering a few items. How does one avoid this?

I imagine the slider bar adjustment is triggering a sort of refresh of the windows, similar to on when the model starts.

I canlt upload an slx. any ideas how to share? here is a simple example that has same issue. This is run in external mode on a rpi3. Every time the slider is moved, the matrix viewer re-centers. The constant is just a single value, adjusted by slider.

Save it with .mdl extension and then share.
