Using RRBOX with a button on a figure

Hi, I am trying to do something that is probably simple, I just don't know where the to find the right answer. I am generating a figure with a number of points and want to be able to select some of them using the RRBOX function. The button I have created to do this seems to work fine when the figure first comes up, but if I switch the mouse function over to ZOOM IN/ZOOM OUT then I start to have problems. If I switch the mouse function back to EDIT PLOT, then I am no longer able to "push" the button, but rather I select the button (I can modify its shape/size). Is there another button that I can put on my figure that switches the mouse function back to its original state?

If you click on the pointer arrow 2 times, the cursor will be back like it was when the plot was first made.

Thanks Matt, I will try this out. The other question I had was that when I added my own button to the figure, the default tool bar with the zoom/pan buttons doesn't appear. I had been changing the function of the mouse using the drop down menus. Is there a simple way to re-add that tool bar back onto the figure? Thanks again for the quick response.
