EstimateUn​calibrated​Rectificat​ion() Algorithm

On what paper or reference is the used algorithm based? I am pretty sure that matlab doesn't use the Hartley&Zissermann implementation because it gives worse results. Nevertheless the source of Hartley&Zissermann is given. Are there some more official information about this function?
