is the Matlab Compiler Free?

Hi All,
Ive got a question about matlab compiler. I need to dristribute a GUI to other users. Ive compiled and created a windows standalone application with 'deploytool'. So far so good.
Now I need to distribute to other people to use it. To make them use it, they need to have installed the matlab compiler (MCR), correct? can they download and install it for free, or they need to buy a license?
thx all for the replies.

You might want to change the question from compiler (which is not free) to MCR which is free and seems to be what you are asking about.

If you are using r2012a or above see <http://www.mathworks.co.uk/support/solutions/en/data/1-H1YMBJ/index.html?product=CO&solution=1-H1YMBJ>
For earlier versions I believe you had to distribute the MCR with the exectuable.

Cool! I wasn't sure if it was free or not! Thanks Mathworks! :)
