save the data from simulink to workspace variable

I used the signal generator to generate the signal and I want to save the data to the workspace variable instantly.I tried to use the to workspace and trigger to workspace and it seems they only save the data when the simulation completed.So is there any way to save the data to the workspace variable instantly
