Create Simulation Data Inspector view programmatically

Hi, I have to create a Simulation Data Inspector View programmatically with subplots, because there is no option to save the SDI view without data in 2015b. I don't know with which release the Saving-view option was introduced because I couldn't find it in the release notes.
The example shown here (Inspect and Compare Data Programmatically) enables the view of both signals in one subplot. I don't know, how to move them to or display them in another subplot. Is there a hidden API available, which is not documented?
Thanks in advance and best regards
Alex

You cannot save an SDI session without any data.
You can add subplots to SDI using the
Simulink.sdi.setSubPlotLayout
To plot signals on a specified subplot, use the
plotOnSubPlot
The docmentation page for APIs usually specifies the release it was introduced in.
Simulink.sdi.save
was introduced in R2011b, as can be seen here: https://www.mathworks.com/help/simulink/slref/simulink.sdi.save.html.
