Issue with display of Training Image Labeler 2017a

I am working on labeling images for RCNN using the built in MATLAB TrainigImageLabeler GUI. However, whenever I upload an image into the GUI, the image appears in the top left portion of the selection window and I can't label my ROI directly on top of the image. Instead, I have to place my cursor under the image and click and drag there to label the ROI. It is as if the image display appears in one place, but the allowed region for ROI selection, which should be on top of the image, appears right below it.

I suspect that this might have something to do with the resolution of my screen and the resolution of the MATLAB TrainingImageLabeler GUI.

I am currently running 2017a, Mac OS Sierra, in a 15'' MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
