how to get x-intercept

is there any built in function to calculate x intercept in matlab? I want to define boundaries for my X and get the x-intercept in those boundaries. I have a done a research and many people use zero crossing analysis however, that does not work with my data.

How is your data? you want x intercept of a curve or a line?
