mel scale

hi all i am doing my final year project on voice recognition.i am using MFCC to extract features from voice.i have done till fft now i am stuck on mel sclae.i am using melfb command but its not working its giving me an error UNDEFINED FUNCTION. what should i do is there any toolbox or something required for this.plz hep me
