Older, legacy toolboxes

I am using version R2009a of MATLAB and want to purchase the Bioinformatics toolbox. However, the MATLAB store only offers newer versions of the toolbox for R2011 and R2012 - do MathWorks only offer toolboxes for purchase for newer versions of MATLAB? What I need specifically is the Bioinformatics toolbox version 3.3 and that cannot be purchased (version 3.3 is the version of this toolbox for R2009a).

Does anyone know how I would go about buying this toolbox? Or is it simply MathWorks' policy to no longer offer legacy toolboxes after a certain period?

You can download any version of a toolbox or MATLAB release if you have a professional version of MATLAB and the maintenance subscription. As for buying additional legacy toolboxes for student version, I don't know.

Thanks a great deal, that answered my question. Basically it seems that not all toolboxes are available for the student version, and that is why I was not able to select it for my older version of MATLAB. Again, many thanks.

Yes, I have addressed their sales department, who take three days to reply. Because I use a student license I cannot use technical support I'm afraid...
