functions to Solve non linnear equations

Hello, I'm trying to find a function in Matlab to use in my iterative code to solve a non linnear equation (complicated one), I have been trying fsolve and solve, is there any code for the other methods such as Newton-Raphson, can some one help me with his code if any, fsolve works some times but for some situations doesn't!

Thanks, what about other methods which are designated to solve simply non linear equations (not system of equations)
