select data from excel via GUI

Hi, I would like to select data form an exclie file for an simulink model that is controlled via GUI. Therefore I want..

1. start the selection process with an pushbutton 'select_file' - this one is already done with 'folder= uigetdir('start_path')'

2. select an data.xls file

3. show the name of the excel 'data' in a textbox 'filename'

4. select data from sheet 'table1', column 'A', line 3 till 100

5. save the selected data to workspace and label it with 'XY'

I'm creating the UI with Guide and I'm a totally noob, please be as precise as possible. Many thanks in advance
