Matlab is not displaying device IDs for kinect cameras, when i run this command..
>> info = imaqhwinfo('kinect'); The output it displays is:
info =
AdaptorDllName: [1x79 char]
AdaptorDllVersion: '4.5 (R2013a)'
AdaptorName: 'kinect'
DeviceIDs: {1x0 cell}
DeviceInfo: [1x0 struct]

Be sure to install http://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/fileexchange/40445-image-acquisition-toolbox-support-package-for-kinect-for-windows-runtime which is marked as being valid from R2013a onward. You will need to have Kinect for Windows version 1.6 installed first. Also, Kinect for XBox will not be recognized.

kinect for xbox is not supported. Mathworks has not indicated whether or not they will ever support it.

Really?? Xbox kinect is not supported in matlab??

my kinect sensor is connected to laptop but not inerfacing with matlab
