textures, Markov Random features

Our aim is to seperate weeds and crops from images of agricultural fields. We need texture and markov random features for this. So can anyone tell us some inbuilt functions in MATLAB for feature extraction? (Any useful information regarding this is welcome)

Can anyone list some texture features used in discriminating weeds from crops and methods to extract it?
