workspace to matrix

I have hundreds of variables defined separately in workspace and Im trying to make ony big matrix of those variables. I have a variable named "channelNames" (in workspace) which is the list of all the variable names I need in that matrix. This is also the list of all the variables defined in workspace. So basically I want to conbine everything in workspace together in a single matrix. One important note here, variables (vectors) in workspace have different lenghts.
