How to trigger accelerometer to record data at the same time as Matlab starts to play a video

I have a script in Matlab where a video starts and participant needs to react something in the video by performing a movement. I need the accelerometer to start recording when the video starts. I have a sync box for the accelerometer but it comes with a BNC cable. WHat daq device do you recommend to use to connect the laptop to the sync box?
