Hi
I 'd like to import a data (with different data types) into a table using "readtable", but i get:
readtable('nav.data')
Undefined function 'readtable' for input arguments of type 'char'.
Is it because "readtable()" is not a built-in function in matlab 2013? is there an equivalent function? Actually, I've found "readtable" convenient as it automatically takes account of data of different types (see http://fr.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/readtable.html ) .
Looking for alternatives so as to read my file.csv (including headers, etc.)
Best,

You could take a look at xlsread, but if you do not have read table then you do not have access to the table variable type. So, xlsread will return you numeric data in your first output (matrix), textual data in your second output (cell array) and all of the data in your 3rd output (cell array). If you have the Statistics Toolbox you can then put this into a dataset array (which is similar to a table), otherwise your column headers and data will need to be stored separately.

Tables were introduced in R2013b.
