Make process stationary - clean trend

Dear MATLAB community,

I have produced an index, which looks as follows:

I was much more hoping to get something like this:

Does anyone know a technique to clean this exponential trend to get a proper stationary process.

Hi christoph,

You can use 'semilogy' to scale the 'y' axis and plot only the exponent. However this does not change the process itself. If the process is not stationary, scaling the 'y' axis will not make the process stationary.
