Hi, I am trying to learn matlab on my own for a lab position and they gave me some things to look at and one was the difference between these three things and what they do. I feel like maybe I understand but would really appreciate a clear, super basic description considering I am totally new to this. Thank you!

They’re guiding you well! See the documentation on Data Types for details.
Take a look at the rest of the documentation as well. It is generally comprehensive and will provide you with the information you need. If you get confused or can’t find what you want in the documentation, we will do what we can here to help.
