IP address problems with webread()

I'm using webread(url,options).

At home it works nicely... I should say awesome...

At work I get an error:

Error using webread (line 112)
The IP address of "url.stuff.com" could not be determined.

("url.stuff.com" is just a dummy to hide the actual url) ...

If I stick the url into a Chrome browser (while at work), I get a nice json result as expected. But the same url in webread throws the error...

So, something about Matlab and my work computer behind a proxy firewall are not playing nicely.

Does anyone have ideas of a work around? Or should I just use the excuse to work from home?

As you have suggested it could be an issue with firewall.

Close MATLAB and add it to exceptions both in Windows and Anti-virus firewall.

Start MATLAB with Administrator permissions. This should fix the issue.
