Cutting stl. model

The ulna model is in stl format. and i would like to cut the ulna into two parts (both in stl format) and the cross-sections are closed. Could anyone help me with this ?

I don't know of any good and convenient ways of doing this with base tools, but there are tools on the File Exchange which may be useful, and there are roundabout ways of calling external applications to do the work. Either way, it's relying on external libraries to do the job.
