Whether Matlab is compatible with macOS?

I am planning to purchase macbook air, i want full functionality on macos, whether it is possible?

No. The polyspace series of products is not available for Silicon Mac yet, and it may be a another few releases.

There are also some reports of instability in the native Silicon version .That is not astonishing in the first release.
