Best Practices - Large Virtual Buses entering an Atomic Subsystem

I was wondering, is there any reason large virtual buses should be not be inputs to atomic subsystems, from a memory consumption and code generation point of view? If a virtual bus is an input to an atomic subsystem, are local copies of the bus created?
