Which video cards suitable for testing CUDA functionality

I'm new to Matlab, but I understand that the GPU of nVidia's video boards can be harnessed for math processing. Given the overhead of moving data in and out of the GPU, this would probably not be worthwhile on lower powered cards. Does anyone have any idea which nVidia models or GPUs start to make this worthwhile?

I'm only interested for testing at the moment, so I'm not expecting hard numbers, just a basic idea.
