how to segment audio signal ???

i take an audio that consist of ~7 lakhs values(single channel and 22050 sampling frequency) so that matlab can't process the audio..i want to hide a 256*256 image into audio by using lsb algorithm..so only i need approx 5 lakhs value..so that i need to segment the audio and hide the image and then combined all the segments and get the audio signal..
