How to use control a Sony camera from Matlab?

I have a project that involves taking photo with precision timing. I need to control camera shutter as well as shutter speed, iso etc.
the procedure in

is no longer supported by Sony.
Is it probably better by just using a servo to press camera shutter in Analog?

"No longer supported" is not the same thing as "will not work"

(looks like setting focal distance is not supported though.)
