What are the new features in embedded coder?

Having previously used the coder toolbox, I am now using embedded coder and trying to find new ways to use this toolbox to optimize my embedded code. Mathworks documentation and customer support have not been particularly helpful in even telling me what's actually different about these two toolboxes; they seem to have the same settings available, and generate the same auto-code.

Does anyone know what kind of new settings are available? I'm specifically interested in ways to eliminate (or combine) excessive for loops within matlab embedded code when handling arrays.
