How do i add button to a output figure from GUI?

Hi, say i have a GUI and after clicking a button on it, an output figure will pop out. This figure basically stores a few output images. Now my button is gonna take in a batch of inputs and then process them. I want to add in button in the output figure and then click it to view the outcome for the different input(maybe 'next' button and 'back' button). Is this possible?? because i couldn't find how to add button to an output from GUI. Thanks very much.
