How to use a position dependent oriifce with variable area slot (SIMHYDRAULICS)

I need to control the area of an orifice as a function of the positon of the piston-rod that it feeds. I want to use the orifice with variable area slot device (unless someone has another suggestion), but I don't really understand what signal to use with/for this object.

Hi, you can get the rod position using a motion sensor, convert the position with PS-S converter, make the calculation for computing the area and feed the variable area block.
