How to create a contour (an open contour ) surrounding an electrode ? The electrode I have already plotted in matlab. At the contour points i need to calculate electric fields. How to find the coordinates of the contour points?

First you will need to calculate your electrical field as a function of x and y, to yield a matrix. Then you can simply use matlab's contour function http://www.mathworks.nl/help/matlab/ref/contour.html
